Who we are
The Cat Gallery was set up by Peter & Alison Hanson in 2001. We gave up our 9 - 5 jobs so that we could share working in our own business whilst bringing up a family. Nearly 10 years on, both our children are at school so we get even more time to hunt out great cat themed gifts for our customers.
The Cat Gallery has two (non-resident) cats. Geoffrey and Ethel are our much loved RSPCA rescue moggies.

 | We have a new addition to our shop! This cat, sculpted by local artist Jonathan Newdick (photographed), marks the start of the York Cat Trail. Collect a leaflet from our shop and enjoy an hour or two looking for the other city centre cats on buildings. A great free activity for all the family. Pick up a leaflet from the shop or from the tourist board. |
| More about us... We decided to set up The Cat Gallery after several years struggling to find quality cat collectables and gifts. We've had great fun finding products for the shop and this online catalogue and will continue to hunt out the best cats on the market.
